ENU Welcomes More Than 150 New Employees at Its Traditional ENU Welcome Day

The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted its traditional annual ENU Welcome Day, an event aimed at helping new employees adapt to their roles and integrate into the university community. This year, the event brought together more than 150 professionals from Kazakhstan and other countries.
The university’s human resources are strengthened every year by highly qualified professionals. In 2025, more than 130 new employees joined the ENU team and became familiar with the university’s Development Strategy. This year, the university continued to expand its workforce, welcoming more than 150 specialists, including professors, Candidates of Sciences, PhD holders, Bolashak International Scholarship recipients, and graduates of leading universities around the world.
Opening the event, Lyazzat Tolegenkyzy, Vice-Rector for Social and Infrastructure Development, welcomed the new employees and emphasized the importance of strengthening the university’s human and research capacity.
“Our university places priority on strengthening its human resources and research potential. Today, ENU has become a major educational and scientific center, bringing together intellectual talent from all regions of the country. We are proud to welcome talented professionals to our team who will make a significant contribution to the further development of the university’s academic and educational environment,” Vice-Rector noted.
The new employees also shared their impressions, emphasizing that joining one of the country’s leading universities offers broad professional opportunities.
“I continued my studies at a university in South Korea, and now I have started working as a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, where I will teach future designers. Beginning my professional career at such a large university is both a great responsibility and an excellent opportunity for me. Today’s ENU Welcome Day demonstrated the hospitality and high level of professionalism of the university community. I am confident that the team-building activities and meetings with university management will help us adapt more quickly. I am ready to contribute to ENU’s development by applying the knowledge and international experience I have gained,” young researcher Sagadat Takisheva said.
As part of the event, new employees met with the university’s leadership and discussed its strategic goals, development prospects, and priority areas of activity. Participants also took an introductory tour of the campus, which allowed them to become more familiar with the university’s infrastructure and facilities.
Particular attention was given to international cooperation, opportunities offered by the Bolashak programme, and a new support programme for young professionals that provides housing assistance.
The practical part of the event continued with team-building activities and intellectual games designed to strengthen professional and interpersonal connections among colleagues.
