ENU Students Introduced to the “National Fund for Children” Programme and Housing Opportunities

On October 30, 2026, an informational meeting was held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University for first- and second-year students.
The main purpose of the meeting was to inform young people about the opportunities offered by the “National Fund for Children” programme, explain how to make effective use of accumulated funds, and introduce financial opportunities aimed at improving their future housing conditions.
During the event, participants were provided with detailed information about the objectives and key mechanisms of the “National Fund for Children” programme. In particular, it was explained that children who are citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan receive an equal share of a portion of the National Fund’s investment income. The funds are automatically credited to individual accounts maintained by the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) and can be used upon reaching the age of 18 to improve housing conditions or pay for education.
Students were also introduced to opportunities for using these accumulated funds as initial capital for purchasing a home. In this regard, housing programmes offered by Otbasy Bank were presented, including the main requirements and conditions of the “Nauryz” programme.
The meeting covered the following key topics:
• The mechanism and implementation of the “National Fund for Children” programme;
• Information on savings accumulated by citizens born in 2006–2008;
• Ways to use National Fund payments for housing and education;
• The importance of savings deposits at Otbasy Bank;
• The main requirements of the “Nauryz” housing programme;
• Mortgage lending conditions and the participant selection process.
Students were also informed about how the amount of savings in a deposit, the accumulation period, and other assessment criteria can affect their eligibility to participate in housing programmes.
At the end of the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive useful information about available opportunities for acquiring their own housing.
