Political Science Student Participates in Organizing the IQanat Republican Olympiad

Madina Disimbekova, a third-year student of the Political Science educational program, participated as a volunteer in the first stage of the IQanat Republican Olympiad. For four years, she has been helping organize the Olympiad, which is held for students from rural schools across Kazakhstan. This year, Madina contributed to organizing the competition in the Zhambyl and Magzhan Zhumabayev districts of the North Kazakhstan Region. Her responsibilities included coordinating organizational activities, familiarizing participants with the Olympiad format, providing technical assistance, and supporting the competition process.
The Olympiad is organized by the IQanat Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Every year, approximately 60,000 eighth-grade students from rural schools participate in the competition. The initiative aims to ensure equal educational opportunities, support talented young people, and develop the intellectual potential of students from Kazakhstan's regions. Winners and other promising participants have the opportunity to continue their education at IQanat High School in Burabay, which offers a three-year program designed to prepare students for admission to leading universities in Kazakhstan and abroad. Graduates of the project have successfully gained admission to Nazarbayev University, Purdue University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the University of Chicago, and other higher education institutions.
This project holds special significance for Madina: in 2021, she was a finalist in the IQanat Olympiad, and today she is a member of its Alumni community. Madina Disimbekova's involvement in this educational initiative exemplifies active civic engagement, social responsibility, and volunteerism among university students. Her experience demonstrates how graduates of educational programs can contribute to the development of future generations of school students by helping expand their access to quality education.
