"Live English" demo lesson titled "#greatweekend"

On November 3, 2026, senior lecturer of the Foreign Languages Department at the Faculty of International Relations Alkeyeva Danara hosted an open demo lesson on the topic: "#greatweekend". The lesson was designed for first-year students at the A2/B1 proficiency level and served as a model of effective communicative teaching practice. Throughout the lesson, students worked individually, in pairs, and in small groups, ensuring maximum interaction and individual accountability. A highlight of the lesson was the productive speaking task "My (Fake) Weekend," in which students shared stories about their weekends with one invented detail and their partners had to identify the lie. This task encouraged fluency, creativity, and practical application of the target language. The event highlighted the department's commitment to innovative, student-centered approach in foreign language teaching.
