
American professor Kaziem R. Woodbury gave a lecture on "Strengthening mutual understanding between different communities"
On November 15, 2023, students and undergraduates of the DP “International Relations” of the Faculty of International Relations listened to a lecture by the American professor Kaziem R. Woodbury. Director of “Just Solutions-The Partnership for Southern Equity” Dr. Kaziem R. Woodbury lectured on “Strengthening Understanding Among Diverse Communities” noting that the United States with its diverse ethnic groups and religious denominations, is still on the path to creating a fully fair and equal society. He presented measures and projects being implemented in this direction. Noting the fact that racism is still present in doing business in the United States, he spoke at length about how American civil society is grappling with these pressing issues. In addition, the professor shared his experience in taking into account the interests of all aspects of society in improving urban infrastructure. He analyzed real cases.
Students and graduate students who participated in the meeting spoke about the features of the national policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and described the priorities of the country’s internal policy to build a fair society. At the end of the lecture, the participants exchanged views and shared their thoughts.
This event was organized by a research group working on the scientific project “AR14870606 Study of the foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the context of changing geopolitical conditions.”
