
ENU conducts classes on the MBA program “Leadership and Corporate Governance”
In September 2023, the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) launched the MBA/EMBA program "Leadership and Corporate Governance". The goal of this educational program is to cultivate leadership qualities in the field of business management, develop competence in effective corporate governance within a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, and enhance skills for successful career advancement in various professional domains.
The mission of the "Leadership and Corporate Governance" program is to create a communicative academic platform where participants acquire up-to-date knowledge for successful business management. The program emphasizes hands-on learning through solving industry-specific challenges and provides conditions for the immediate application of acquired knowledge in real-world activities.
The "Leadership and Corporate Governance" program (MBA/EMBA) covers key management areas, including business research, strategic management, and strategic marketing. It ensures a high level of integration of individual disciplines from the perspective of overall enterprise management.
Each course in the program includes topics related to business strategy formation and assignments aimed at solving complex organizational problems. The program also fosters individual development by focusing on skills such as problem analysis (including quantitative methods), decision-making, teamwork, leadership, entrepreneurship, negotiation, communication, and presentation.
The classes are conducted by leading professors and practitioners, including Professor Nadeem Khalid (PhD, University of Cambridge, UK), Associate Professor Sultanbek Shoman (business trainer at AlmAU), and Professor Almagul Kanagatova (PhD, founder of Global Nomad Education).
The program attracts participants from various fields, ranging from the restaurant business and preschool education to national companies. Examples of participants include Madina Azhikenova, a member of the Maslikhat, entrepreneur, and founder of the "Medina" daycare centers; Alimzhan Zhanbirbayev, an expert in capital construction at "Kazakhstan Atomic Power Plants" LLP; Aman Kadymbek, Chief Manager of the Technological Systems Department of the Transportation Process, Akzhan Ayapbekov, Manager of the Technological Systems Department of the Transportation Process, and Irina Savushkina, Director of the Technological Systems Department of the Transportation Process at the branch of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" - "Automation and Digitalization Directorate"; Oraldym Mazhanakov, Director of "QAZAQ FORUM" LLP; Olzhas Tagan, restaurant administrator at Mumtaz; Saltanat Eskendirova, SMM manager, and others.
Classes are conducted both at the Rixos President Astana hotel (with a branch of the "Tourism" department located in one of the halls) and online on the MTeams and Zoom platforms.
