“No to drugs” from the scientific club “Spectr”

November 22, 2023 at the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov at the Department of Chemistry held a meeting with narcologists and students. The competition was organized by the student club “Spectrum” under the leadership of Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry Beisembayeva Kulzhan Adambaevna. The chairman of this club is Abdigali Aruzhan, a 3rd year student, group B053-5301-21-01, and the organizer Safina Dilnaz, a 3rd year student, group B053-5306-21-01, who are actively developing the club among ENU. The purpose of the event was to familiarize students with the biochemical process in the human body when taking drugs, as well as what consequences drug use can lead to.

Healthy lifestyle doctor Arailym Sadykkyzy, social work specialist Anara Zholdubaevna from the Astana Clinic and head of the chemistry department Eldar Ertaevich Kopishev were invited as guests. The guests held a preventive discussion “We are against drugs”, introduced and talked about the dangers of drugs, modern problems of drug use among young people. That their interest in primary use can lead to addiction. The head of the chemistry department, Kopishev Eldar Ertaevich, shared about the opportunities for students in the academic mobility program, and spoke about writing a joint diploma with students of Ghent University.

The meeting with students became an important step in the development of the student club "Spectrum", which is aimed at the development of the chemistry department, as well as about the healthy lifestyle of students.
