
The 3rd year students of the ENU Tourism Department had a chance to learn the subtleties of the tourism business in Uzbekistan
Students of the 3rd year of the Department of "Tourism" have completed an international internship at the Tashkent State University of Economics

With the support of the admissions of our university, a student of SP 6B11105 "Tourism" and 6B11103 "Hotel and restaurant business" underwent international practice on the basis of the Tashkent State Economic University in the Republic of Uzbekistan from May 27 to June 05 according to the schedule. Previously, a lot of preparatory work took place with documentation on preparing for the practice and its conduct, as well as an introductory conference, familiarization with safety regulations. This is the second stream of students of the Department of Tourism, where this time 85 students and 4 leaders participated: Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism, as well as senior teachers Yessenbayeva Ainur Ergeshovna, Asemzhar Nursultan Dugaliuly, Tukibayeva Kuralai Bazarbekovna and Omarova Aiganym Saparkyzy.
One of the main goals of international practice was to enable students to use theoretical knowledge in academic disciplines studied over three years of study, analysis and research of the tourism potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan and compare with domestic tourism development programs.
With the support of the rector of the university Sharipov Kongratbay Avezimbetovich, vice-rector of international cooperation Rakhmonov Dilshodzhon Alidzhonovich and the Department of Corporate Economics and Business Analytics, a internship program for students was organized. During a meeting with the leadership of the TSUE University, teachers and students of the Department of Tourism of the ENU prepared a small concert program and our students prepared a presentation about our homeland Kazakhstan and the country's tourist facilities.
During the internship, students learned the intricacies of organizing the tourism business in the country and dedicated the tourist sites of Tashkent and Samarkand, noting the national color and originality of all participants in the process, took a short bus ride around the capital of Uzbekistan, visited the Tole Bi Mausoleum, especially revered among the Kazakhs.
Also, students attended a short course on domestic and outbound tourism in Uzbekistan, tourism statistics and a number of economic indicators from tourism activities in the country from the best university teachers, clarified the rules for organizing tourist formalities (visa, passport, medical, customs, exchange rate, etc.). ) as one of the main and distinctive moments in international tourism, held a short discussion in the question-answer format, passed a small master class of the hotel reception service, restaurant and room service.
In addition, ENU students conducted an introductory walk around the TSUE campus, got acquainted with the organization of training specialists in universities in the field of tourism economics in Uzbekistan, adopting a number of progressive innovations in the process of meetings with the university administration and teaching staff of TSUE, having mastered the intricacies of organizing business meetings and participating in them at the international level, went on a gastronomic tour, visiting a number of catering establishments, evaluating the work of employees of service enterprises.
The students also made a trip to Samarkand, conducting a study of the use of the tourist potential of this ancient and amazing city in the modern tourism activities of Uzbekistan at the present stage, visiting such pearls of historical, cultural and architectural heritage as the Ensemble of Shakhi-Zinda Mausoleums, the Registan Ensemble with Ulugbek Madrassah, Tillya -Kari and Sherdor, the Timurid Shrine, the Cathedral Mosque, the Mausoleum of the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, evaluated the work of guides, guides accompanying tourist groups, translators, drivers as the most important elements of the tourism system of any country, studied the roadside infrastructure in the vicinity of Tashkent and Samarkand, as well as directly in them, evaluating the work of the tourist police, information bureaus, advertising companies, travel companies, etc., as this is an important component that speaks about the quality of tourist services in any country.
On the last day of international practice, on the initiative of the rector of TSUE Sharipov Kongratbai Avezimbetovich, a friendship tree was planted between TSUE and ENU, in which teachers and students of two universities took part, which is a symbol of strong friendship between our universities and countries.
Such cooperation between the two universities in the field of organizing international internships makes it possible not only to exchange experience, obtain useful information, complete a number of practical tasks and achieve the set goals of the practice for conducting research, collecting data and studying tourism in the host country, but also allows strengthening bilateral relations between our countries, our universities.
