
The Self-Financing Academic Mobility Program provides ENU students with the opportunity to study at partner universities abroad for one semester at their own expense.
Participants are responsible for covering all costs, including:
- Travel,
- Accommodation,
- Food,
- Visa processing,
- Medical insurance and other related expenses.
Tuition at the host university is either free of charge (under bilateral agreements between ENU and its partners) or is paid at 60% of the per-semester tuition cost at ENU.
No competitive selection process is held for this program. Applications are accepted from all students who meet the academic, language, and organizational requirements set by L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

«ENU Student Ambassadors» is an internal initiative by L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University to support student academic mobility. The program offers selected participants partial funding in the form of a one-time scholarship. Financial support is awarded on a competitive basis.
Destinations: USA, Southeast Asia, EU, Turkey.
Who can participate: Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD students.
Application Period: Applications are accepted in September/October (for the spring semester) and in February/March (for the fall semester).
This academic mobility program is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within this program, the Ministry provides funding, within established norms, for students to study abroad for one semester.
The grant covers the following expenses:
- Accommodation;
- Travel to and from the place of study;
- Visa processing;
- Medical insurance.
Funding is provided based on a competitive selection process among students who meet the established requirements.

University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) is an international consortium of higher education institutions in the Asia-Pacific region. Its purpose is to expand academic mobility for students and staff through semester-long, short-term, and virtual programs.
L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University has been an official UMAP member since 2022.
Opportunities for ENU Students:
- Study for one semester at a UMAP partner university abroad;
- Participate in in-person and online programs like Discovery Camp, COIL, and others.

The Orhun Program is an initiative by the Council of Higher Education of the Organization of Turkic States. It is designed to foster academic mobility for students, faculty, and staff across universities in the Turkic world..
The program's goal is to strengthen academic cooperation and cultural and scientific ties between universities in participating countries, while also creating a common Turkic educational space. ссылка

Applications are accepted once a year in the spring.
The "Abay-Verne" scholarship program is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic. The program provides the opportunity to study at the Master's and PhD levels in France at the expense of the state budget. It also includes a monthly scholarship.
The terms of participation and the required documents are published on the AIS "Platonus" platform in the "Announcements" section as soon as the French side announces the call for applications.
Internal academic mobility is a student exchange program between universities within Kazakhstan, aimed at developing academic interaction and expanding students' educational opportunities.
The program allows ENU students to complete one semester of study at another Kazakhstani university, with the earned credits subsequently being transferred to their main educational program.
Terms of Participation:
- Study at the host university may be either free or paid, depending on the host institution's terms.
- The student retains their ENU student status throughout the entire academic mobility period.
- The student independently covers expenses for accommodation, travel, and food, unless otherwise specified.
