ENU College
The College was founded in 1965 on the basis of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR No. 623 dated 08.09.1964 as the Tselinograd Financial and Economic College of the Ministry of Finance of the Kazakh SSR.
The college provided average qualification specialist training for the financial and insurance authorities of the republic.
In 1965 the academic and laboratory building was put into operation, where the first 450 students entered the class on the first of September. The educational building was equipped, the teaching staff and technical staff were formed.
1967 - the first specialists graduation
1969 - the dormitory for 630 seats was put into operation.
1975 - by the decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR dated 05/16/75 No. 1174, the technical school of the Ministry of Finance of the Kazakh SSR was transferred to the Ministry of Finance of the USSR.
1985 - the All-Union Financial Employees Conference was held in honor of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the educational institution
1995 – by order of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 08.09.1995 No. 229, the college was transformed into the Akmola Financial and Economic College.
1997 - the technical school was transformed into a college.
1999 - by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 20 dated 11.01.1999, the college was transformed into the national state-owned enterprise "Akmola Financial and Economic College".
2001 - the college won the national contest "Best College of the Year".
2006 - a certification audit of the quality management system was conducted; the Serbian certification body “EVROCERT’, the Kazakh certification body “EUROASIA MS”, the Austrian certification body “IQS”, the international certification body “IQNet” provided certificates for educational services in the areas of secondary vocational education.
2007 - on the basis of the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 624 dated 07/24/2007, the Republican state-owned enterprise "Akmola Financial and Economic College" was reorganized into a joint-stock company "Center for Training, retraining and advanced training of specialists of financial agencies".
2007 - a subsidiary of the Joint-Stock Company "Center for Training, Retraining and Advanced Training of Specialists of Financial Agencies" Joint-Stock Company "Akmola Financial and Economic College" (JSC "AFEK") was established by Order of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 490 dated 12/28/2007
2008 - as per the order of the Committee for Control in the Field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 599 dated 05.05.08, the college was audited for compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on education and the rules for licensing educational activities.
2009 - on the basis of the decision of the Board of Directors of JSC "Center for Training, Retraining and Advanced Training of Specialists of Financial Agencies" dated 09.06.2009 and the order of the President of the "Center" No. 63/p dated 10.06.2009, the Joint Stock Company "Financial Academy" was established on the basis of JSC "Akmola Financial and Economic College".
The College became a part of the Financial Academy as a structural unit.
Education at the college is funded from the local budget under the "Yenbek" State Program and on a contractual basis with full reimbursement of costs.
The College has two departments:
- Department of economic sciences
- Department of technical sciences
The teaching staff is united in 5 commissions.
For all the years of its existence, the college has retained its main profile which is training of financial specialties for the financial organisations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2022 – the college became a part of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
