NJC «L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University» in 2025
NJC «L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University» continues to actively develop its scientific activities, making a significant contribution to the development of science and technology both in Kazakhstan and abroad.
In 2025, the university's scientists are carrying out 235 research projects, which are being implemented in various areas and programs. This volume of work testifies to the high research activity and diversity of scientific interests at ENU:
1. Program-targeted financing (Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan)
3 programs are implemented within the framework of program-targeted funding for scientific and scientific-technical programs of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MSHE RK). The programs are aimed at solving the key scientific and technological challenges facing Kazakhstan and provide an integrated approach to research. Targeted financing makes it possible to concentrate resources on priority areas, such as the development of new technologies, innovative techniques, as well as the study of topical scientific problems important for the socio-economic development of the country.
2. Grant financing of scientific and scientific-technical projects
These projects cover a wide range of scientific fields, ranging from basic research in the natural sciences to applied developments in engineering and technology.
Grant funding gives scientists the opportunity to explore new scientific concepts, develop innovative solutions and conduct research with the potential for commercialization and practical application in various sectors of the economy.
3. Support for young scientists
15 projects are being implemented within the framework of grant funding for young scientists (MHSE RK), specially designed to support novice researchers to stimulate their interest in science and create conditions for their professional growth.
Within the framework of these projects, young scientists are working on modern scientific tasks, developing their competencies and bringing fresh ideas to the scientific community.
78 projects are being implemented within the framework of the “Zhas Galym” (Young Scientist) program, which is an initiative of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan to support talented youth in the scientific field.
The program is aimed at developing the scientific potential of young researchers, providing them with opportunities to conduct research, share experiences and participate in international scientific events.
4. Cooperation with organizations and enterprises
21 projects are being implemented based on contracts with various organizations and enterprises.
Cooperation with industrial partners makes it possible to introduce scientific developments into the real sector of the economy, increase the competitiveness of enterprises and contribute to the innovative development of the country.
5. International scientific cooperation
5 international projects are being implemented with the participation of ENU scientists. International cooperation is an important part of the university's scientific activities, providing access to global knowledge, best practices and innovations.
Participation in international projects allows the university to expand its research horizons, participate in solving global scientific problems and strengthen ties with leading research centers and universities around the world.
Thanks to these projects, ENU scientists share their experience with foreign colleagues, attract international funding and contribute to the global scientific community.
Thus, in 2025, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University continues to strengthen its position as the country's leading research center. The implementation of 235 scientific projects testifies to the high potential and wide range of scientific interests of the university. From program-targeted and grant financing to international cooperation and partnership with industry, ENU is actively involved in the development of science and technology, making a significant contribution to the socio–economic development of Kazakhstan and the global scientific community.
