

Since 2016, the Council of Group Leaders has been successfully operating at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The Council is an important student body that unites academic group leaders and ensures active student participation in the educational process.
The main purpose of the Council of Group Leaders is to create conditions for students to receive quality education and to establish effective communication with the university administration in improving the educational process. Council members not only monitor academic performance and class attendance but also ensure compliance with academic discipline, take into account the needs of their group, and promptly communicate issues to the administration.
The Council of Group Leaders serves as an effective mechanism for students to exercise their right to participate in managing the quality of the educational process. To convey student suggestions and initiatives, the Council holds regular meetings with the university administration and actively participates in discussing projects and initiatives aimed at improving the educational process and enhancing student well-being.
Structure of the Council
The Council of Group Leaders includes the group leaders from all faculties, as well as from the Graduate School of Education and the Institute of Physical and Technical Sciences. In addition, a working group of the Council is formed, consisting of the Chairperson, the Deputy Chairperson, and team members.
Currently, the Chairperson of the Council of Group Leaders is Aidana Adibai, a 4th-year student of the Institute of Physical and Technical Sciences.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure active student participation in the educational process;
- Monitor attendance and academic performance;
- Develop proposals aimed at improving the quality of education;
- Establish effective communication with the university administration and ensure information exchange;
- Support initiatives aimed at improving the learning environment, taking into account students’ opinions.
Role of the group leader:
A group leader is the key link between students and the faculty administration. They deliver information regarding the educational process to their group, promptly communicate students’ issues and suggestions to the administration, and actively participate in the university’s academic and public activities.
