Objective: Compliance with the principles of business ethics and regulation of social and labor disputes arising in the team
Functions:
– To hear and serve as the voice of each of ENU’s 23 thousand students and 6 thousand employees;
– To study and identify systemic problems of protecting students’ and employees’ rights;
– Assistance in protecting students’ and the team’ rights and legitimate interests;
– Participation in the development and introduction of recommendations on improving the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues within the competence of the Ombudsman;
– Development of recommendations for the resolution and prevention of conflicts of a legal and organizational nature;
– Holding necessary meetings, gatherings, consultations and discussions of representatives of government agencies and organizations with students, teaching staff and employees;

Tasks:
– Restoration of justice and rights that have been violated;
– Conducting activities to improve the corporate governance system and increase the level of corporate culture;
– Education and assistance to students and employees regarding their rights and in the settlement of early stage conflicts (disputes);
– Improving legal literacy on students’ and employees’ rights;
– Active participation in the development of sectoral projects of legal acts of state bodies-developers, if they affect the interests or may infringe on ENU students’ and employees’ rights.
