Department of Infrastructure Development

The Department of Infrastructure Development at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University is tasked with the strategic planning, coordination, and implementation of initiatives aimed at the development, modernization, and efficient management of the university’s physical and technical assets.

The primary objective of the department is to establish a safe, modern, and comfortable infrastructure that facilitates high-quality educational programs, supports research activities, and ensures favorable conditions for both students and staff.

The key areas of activity of the Department include:

• Development and modernization of the university’s infrastructure;
• Operation and technical maintenance of buildings, facilities, and engineering systems;
• Planning, organization, and supervision of current and major repairs;
• Material, technical, and administrative support for the university’s activities;
• Ensuring the uninterrupted operation of utility and energy systems, and the rational use of resources with energy efficiency in mind;
• Implementation of modern engineering, technical, and technological solutions;
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety, fire safety, and environmental protection requirements;
• Collaboration with contractors and quality control of completed works.

 The Department of Infrastructure Development includes the following structural units: 

• Supply and Monitoring Department

Responsible for providing the university with material and technical resources, monitoring the condition of infrastructure facilities, and overseeing their operation.

• Administrative and Household Department (AHD)

Organizes the maintenance of buildings and premises and ensures proper sanitary and technical conditions of the university’s facilities.

• Furniture Manufacturing and Repair Workshop

Provides manufacturing, restoration, and repair of furniture for educational, administrative, and auxiliary premises of the university.

• Sewing and Design Department

Manages tailoring, repair, and design decoration of textile products for the university’s needs.

• Technical Supervision and Major Repairs Department

Plans, organizes, and supervises construction, reconstruction, and major repair works of the university’s facilities.

• Heating, Water Supply, and Sewerage Department

Ensures uninterrupted operation of heating, water supply, and wastewater systems across the university’s facilities.

• Current Repairs Department

Performs routine maintenance and repair work on buildings, premises, and engineering systems of the university.

• Energy Department

Responsible for the operation and monitoring of electrical systems, energy saving, and efficient use of energy resources.

• Automotive Services Unit

Ensures the operation, technical maintenance, and utilization of the university’s vehicles.
