The symbol of the University - Saka Golden Warrior
The logo of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University is a stylized image of a rider – the Saka golden warrior. The logo is based on the idea of the scientist-Turkologist M.Zh. Zholdasbekov, created based on the archaeological find "Golden Man" ("Altyn Adam", VI-V century BC).
The logo of the university symbolizes – forward movement, life-affirming energy, the impulse to change and achieve, the connection of times and spaces, as well as cultural authenticity and nomadic civilization.
"Altyn Adam" was a representative of the Saka aristocracy, as evidenced by the striking golden military clothings, the unique uniqueness of his headdress, which carries a sacred meaning, and the artfully inlaid military equipment.
The main element-the kazanat (a swift-footed fighting horse) - is known to be a cult and a treasure in the Eurasian worldview, demonstrating the traditionally close relationship between man and horse for many millennia. The destiny of the Kazakh people is closely intertwined with this strong animal. The fighting horse is the element of the Kazakh, symbolizing intelligence, wisdom, nobility, dynamic strength and strength. In addition, the horse is an ancient symbol of the cyclical development of time, a symbol of courage and strong power.
The image of the Saka golden warrior has absorbed the historical origins of the events that took place in the Eurasian area, which explains the appeal to the historical genre when creating the logo. The heritage that has come down to us is part of the material and spiritual culture of the Eurasians. When designing the logo of the new modern university in the heart of Eurasia, it was considered that the "Golden Man", first of all, is a symbol of independence and freedom of the Kazakh people, the core of the Kazakh ideology.
The logo acts as a carrier of the idea of "Eurasianism – the fusion of East and West, the unity of opposite principles, the harmony of multicultural values, it is associative, understandable on a visceral level. Thus, it is quite natural that the Saka golden warrior is seen as the prototype of the protector of the native land, and a symbol of the unity of the expanses of Eurasia.
The internal dynamics of the image of the rider follows its external dynamics and is interpreted as the ideal of permanent progress and development, which is fully reflects in the activity of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
