The Ethics Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council) is a permanent collegial body created by the order of the Chairman of the Board - the Rector of ENU from among the employees of administrative structural divisions, teaching staff, students (if necessary) to review the behavior of teachers, employees and students of ENU who have committed violations of ethics standards.

Based on the results of the consideration of the case, the Council develops recommendations on bringing the guilty person to responsibility for violating ethical standards.

The main tasks of the Council are:

- prevention of ethical violations;

- contributing to the improvement of the moral and psychological climate of the team, the settlement of conflict situations related to violations of ethical norms;

- consideration of the causes and conditions contributing to the violation of ethical standards, and development of recommendations based on them to the Chairman of the Board – Rector;

- prevention of the development of emerging disputes and conflicts, search for a compromise solution to all emerging contradictions to preserve the business environment.

Action plan for 2023

In order to improve the quality of training of specialists at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, an Employers' Council has been established.

The Employers' Council is a dialogue platform for representatives of employers and the university in order to develop concrete proposals for solving urgent problems of university development and training highly qualified specialists. The Council's decisions are advisory and advisory in nature.

The Council solves the following tasks:

- assistance in solving problems in the field of forming a high-quality educational environment, strengthening the educational and scientific potential of the university, taking into account the modern requirements of the labor market;

- assistance in the development of the system of vocational education, the formation of professional competencies of graduates, taking into account the recommendations of employers;

- participation in the development and examination of educational programs and professional practice, as well as in the expansion of practice bases, the implementation of joint research programs, projects and events;

- assistance in the employment of graduates.

The scientific and methodological Council of ENU named after L. N. Gumilyov is a body that coordinates and constantly manages scientific, educational and methodological work to improve the educational process and improve the quality of training of specialists at the University.

Responsibilities:

The main tasks of the scientific and methodological Council are: Analysis of the work of the department and faculty; identification of shortcomings in the organization of the educational process and development of recommendations for their elimination; exploration along with providing the educational process with literature and methodological tools; review of manuscripts of the teaching staff and development of their publication; current state and quality of educational programs of Master's and doctoral studies.

Decisions at meetings of the EMC are made openly by public vote and are drawn up in Protocols signed by the chairman or his deputy and the secretaries of the council and kept by the secretary.

The EMC operates in accordance with the work plan for the academic year, even if it is approved and adjusted at the first meeting of the EMC during the academic year.

General provisions

The Scientific and Technical Council of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (hereinafter NTS) is the highest expert advisory body of the University in the field of formation and practical implementation of scientific, scientific, technical and innovation policy.

The Chairman of the NTS of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU is the Vice-rector for Research. The organizational work of the NTS is carried out by the Technology Commercialization Department.

Main goals and objectives

The main objectives of the NTS are to develop the basic principles of formation and mechanisms for the practical implementation of scientific, scientific, technical and innovation policy.

The main tasks of the NTS are the scientific provision of education at all levels, the study and generalization of the experience of organizing scientific research in research laboratories, innovation and technology centers of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU, the formation of priority areas of fundamental and applied scientific research, the development of the main directions of the implementation of the Strategy of Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the University.

The structure and basic principles of the organization of the work of the NTS

The NTS is formed as part of the chairman of the NTS, the deputy chairman of the NTS, the scientific secretary of the NTS, the members of the NTS. Membership in the NTS is personal. The NTS may include vice-rectors, deans of faculties, leading scientists, scientific and pedagogical workers and highly qualified industry specialists, including representatives of relevant public associations of scientific and pedagogical workers. The personal composition of the NTS, the candidacy of the chairman of the NTS and his deputy, the scientific secretary of the NTS and the members of the NTS are approved by the order of the Rector of ENU.

Meetings of the NTS of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU are held at least once every two months. NTS ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov carries out work in accordance with the plan drawn up and approved for each academic year. The NTS work plan is approved annually by the Chairman of the NTS.

The main purpose of the Disciplinary Commission operating at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU is to ensure compliance by university employees with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, internal regulations, as well as consideration of cases on the application of disciplinary measures and liability.

The Disciplinary Commission considers cases:

- on corruption offenses with the assistance of law enforcement agencies;

- about systematic absences / disruptions and delays of the teaching staff (teaching staff) for training sessions without valid reasons;

- about appearing at work or school drunk, including drinking alcoholic beverages during working hours on the territory of the university;

- about smoking in an unidentified place;

- violation of the requirements of the internal regulatory documents of the university;

- other cases requiring the application of disciplinary measures.
